Run Towards the Roar

On my first day as a college student, one of my professors said “run towards the roar” in the middle of a lecture. I immediately had a spark and knew I wanted to illustrate the concept. The words you see represent all of the “roars” that we face in life. The composition of the lion’s roar is the same as the human because the power and ferocity of our fears are what you are made of. This piece actually took me FOUR years to complete. Not only were the details extremely difficult, but I also wasn’t focused on art as much at the time.
